A Little Bit About Johna
I grew up in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I attended St. Clair College’s Tradigital Animation program, and went on to work as a graphic artist for a few local businesses. In the summer of 2007 I was hired as a graphic designer at HB Studios in Lunenburg Nova Scotia, so I packed up my things and headed East.
I spend most of my day doing something artistic. The rest of the day is split up between sleeping, eating, biking, and playing Nintendo. I could probably survive on Diet Coke and trail mix, but I suspect that would be a bad idea.
I’m the eternal quiet kid doodling in the back of the class, but I manage to immitate a grownup five days a week as a hard working, focused, and imaginative artist in what is probably one of the most awesome careers in existence. I work in 2D graphics on video games, so I’m usually mocking up and implementing all of the front end menus, backgrounds, and little 2D back end elements. I’m most comfortable working in Flash and Photoshop, but I’ve used a ton of other design tools, and I’m told I catch on to new software rather quickly.
